If you are looking for a fast-paced, incredibly fun series that will sweep you into Regency London, look no further! I devoured both books and finished The Ladies Road Guide to Utter Ruin already wishing book three were here.

Alison Goodman has created a world filled with daring heroines, witty banter, secret societies, intriguing mysteries, and a healthy dose of Regency scandal. These smart, resourceful women refuse to play by society’s rules, and that is exactly what makes their adventures so much fun.

I loved the blend of historical detail and modern sensibilities, along with romance that is both sweet and steamy. The mysteries kept me guessing, the friendships warmed my heart, and the ladies’ determination to forge their own paths made them impossible not to root for.

These ill-mannered ladies are my new literary heroes. If you enjoy bold female characters, clever mysteries, and historical fiction with plenty of personality, I highly recommend beginning with The Benevolent Society of Ill-Mannered Ladies and reading the series in order.
